PAWS Mayfield Doggy Day Care provides hands-on, real-world workforce training for students with disabilities enrolled in the Mayfield Workforce Academy while offering quality care for staff dogs. Ultimately, the program plans to open registration locally to Mayfield-area families with dogs.
Designed as a Work-Based Learning program and aligned with Ohio Means Jobs Work-Readiness, PAWS provides students with hands-on, work-based learning experiences that build professional skills, including teamwork, reliability, problem-solving, communication and workplace responsibility. Through this student-led business, students apply their learning in a real-world setting while preparing for future employment and greater independence.
The program reflects Mayfield City Schools' commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for students to discover their strengths, build confidence and apply their learning in a real-world setting.
Community members are encouraged to attend, meet the team and learn more about how PAWS Mayfield Doggy Day Care is helping students prepare for the future.
