Community Relations: Partnering together for our students, schools and community

Hello, Mayfield -

The function of the Office of Community Relations is to publicize and promote district news and goals, achievements, programs, services and activities to our community, staff, parents and media.

Mayfield City Schools have a strong tradition of excellence. That tradition is made possible through the partnerships we have embedded in our school community and culture with our parents, community members, local government and area businesses.

It's been said that a "Community is only as strong as its schools." Our four communities, Mayfield Heights, Mayfield Village, Highland Heights and Gates Mills  are vibrant neighborhoods and business districts with Mayfield City Schools at the center. Our schools and children are the heart of our communities.

I welcome the community to contact me with information about your students - stories off the beaten path, or how Mayfield City Schools is involved in your organization or could be. Our district is always looking to grow in our community.

There also are many volunteer opportunities  in our classrooms for parents or community members who may have a few extra hours to give. If you are interested in reading, tutoring or lending a hand in an office, please contact me directly.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Laurie Uhlir
